拥抱我们的差异：融与溶

     Modern culture root from the ancient civilization. This is an inspiration my trip to Beijing. The ingenious design of ancient building captivated me. Hence, I described part of the ancient cornices as the reflection on modern architecture. There were difference and resonance of aesthetics exist at the same space showing astonishing beauty.

     When I was depicting it, I use hard texture of pencil for the match color, to present the modern building’s grass. The deeper texture charcoal and pencil were used to display the profound sediment of history and culture.

     I hope to show how I was stand in awe in front of both history and modern culture, to appreciate the diversity and mixing of culture by material compatibility. Our human culture is so inclusive that there are various differences to be discovered and embraced.

     创作灵感源自一次旅行，我被北京的中国古建筑巧妙构思所震撼，我以现代建筑的玻璃外墙反射出古老飞檐的一脚作为表现方式，借此表达现代文明根植于古代文明，既有存在差异，也有审美上的共鸣。

​

     绘画时，我以浅色的铅笔为媒彩，表现现代建筑的玻璃，用深色的炭铅表现古代建筑和文化的厚重，以材质的相溶表达了文化的多样性和融合。

     透过对古今建筑的差异与欣赏，我们更包容的去看性别差异，种族差异和文化差异。
