Brief Concept This hand assistive device is made from wood, thin twine, and rubber bands. I explored mechanical structures in hand shape that focus on making functional components work effectively together. These are my development process. In the first prototype, I found that the device could not move naturally with my hand. The second version therefore focused on developing a structure that could extend and retract smoothly in response to hand movement. --------------------------------
